Goldfarb Award Winners

Last night’s opening of the Alexander A. Goldfarb 19th Annual Student Exhibition and Awards Presentation was an exciting event.

Our two winners received checks in the amount of $1,000, presented by the dean of the Hartford Art School, Power Boothe. The winners were honored to be chosen and to have their work purchased for the Hartford Art School Alexander A. Goldfarb collection.

Nick Kontos, a senior painting major, won for his untitled oil, acrylic and enamel painting.Emily Francois, a senior photography major won for her piece titled Strip Mall Commemorative Plates consisting of sixteen ceramic collectible plates with overglaze decals depicting the shops in a strip mall.Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the (delayed) opening and witness the exciting awards presentation.

The exhibition will be on display through Thrusday March 22, 2007 – don’t miss it!
